AKUH Patient Referral and Information Desk provides comprehensive and up-to-date information on AKUH services and facilities, names of faculty - their areas of expertise and clinic schedules. AKUH Patient Referral and Information Desk assists patients in scheduling their appointments at AKUH for outpatient consultations, diagnostic tests and procedures. This avoids the hassle for patients to call or visit Karachi for scheduling appointments. For elective procedures including Angiography, Angioplasty, Open Heart Surgery, etc., patients' direct admission to the hospital can also be arranged. This enables the patient and the family to know before hand the cost of treatment and be in control of the total expenses. However, in some cases where the doctor needs to physically examine the patient to decide the treatment, the estimates can not be provided beforehand.
