Foeto-Maternal Clinic

Foeto-Maternal Medicine is placed in Consulting Clinic 4 and is a rapidly emerging specialty that involves management of high-risk pregnancies. Services available include a comprehensive 1st and 2nd trimester screening programme for detection of congenital abnormalities, nuchal translucency scan at 11 to14 weeks, anomaly scan at 20 to 22 weeks to assess the risk for Down's Syndrome and screening facility for pre-eclampsia and foetal growth restriction via uterine artery and umbilical artery Doppler Studies respectively. Facilities for prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS are also available. Ultrasound of high risk pregnancies with prior appointments are held Monday to Friday at Foeto-Maternal Unit, Ward B2. High-risk pregnancy clinic is held every Monday 9:00 am-1:00 pm and 2:00 pm-5:00 pm at Consulting Clinic 4.​​
