The Department of Internal Medicine is the largest department at Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, Kenya. It comprises of 10 sub-specialties, each offering expert clinical care both in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Critical Care

The section of Critical Care Medicine aims to provide the highest quality, up to date, technologically advanced, and compassionate care available to critically ill patients anywhere.

We have a 24-hour dedicated team of consultant specialists trained Anaesthesia and Internal Medicine. All the consultants have undergone further subspecialty training in Critical Care from several world renown institutions.

The consultants are supported by a carefully selected team of Instructors in Anaesthesia and Internal Medicine, Resident doctors in multiple subspecialties and experienced Senior House Officers.

The Critical Care Units cater for a wide array of illnesses and always work in close collaboration with both surgical and non-surgical specialists.

We also practice a multidisciplinary approach to the care of critically ill patients as evidenced by our core team that includes Critical Care certified nurses, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and pharmacists.

Our highly trained and experienced team of Dermatologists and nurses strive to ensure excellent patient.

We are primarily responsible for providing exemplarily care for new born to elderly patients of all skin types presenting with hair, skin and nail problems at the AKUHN. Our services include Dermatological Diagnosis and Management, Dermatosurgical care, and Venereological diagnosis and management.
