Internal Medicine

Internal medicine or general internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of acute or chronic diseases, with special focus on coordinating care for adult with many medical problems or diseases.  We also specializes in health promotion, early and appropriate screening and prevention of diseases.  The Section of Internal Medicine, strives in providing excellent patient care and patient safety. We pride ourselves in the services we provide which include:

  • A multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive holistic care to our patients with acute and/or chronic medical problems
  • A daily fully supervised resident run outpatient clinic focusing on preventative and wellness medicine
  • A joint injection procedure clinic on Thursday afternoons
  • A resident phone clinic to follow up on our patients via phone.
  • A pre-operative risk management consultation clinic
  • Coordination of patient care with other sections and departments
  • A close working relationship with the Department of Radiology, Pathology and Laboratory to ensure excellent patient care.
