U.S. Consulate Visits AKUH Clinical Laboratories

 
<p>Mr. David Keddington, Regional Medical Lab Officer (RMLO) of the U.S. Consulate in Karachi  recently visited The Aga Khan University Hospital. The visit covered various sections of the facility with a main focus on the high quality laboratory standards maintained by the Hospital and its healthcare service offerings for foreign citizens and employees based in Pakistan.</p><p>​Mr. Keddington had a brief discussion with Mr. Sohail Baloch, Director, Clinical Laboratories, AKUH, about the quality of the clinical laboratories. He was then taken for the tour of the Main Laboratory on Campus and the Laboratory at the Soparivala Building. The sections covered included Blood Bank, Hematology Section, Molecular Section, Micro Section and Chemistry Section. The hospital tour proved to be extremely satisfactory for Mr. Keddington as per the international quality benchmarks upheld by AKUH.</p><p>To strengthen its commitment in delivering quality services, The Aga Khan University Hospital also organized a Health Fair at the U.S. Consulate for their staff. Services present there included Mind and Brain, <a href="/Pakistan/Health-Services/physiotherapy-rehabilitation-nutrition/Pages/default.aspx" style="background-color: #ffffff;">Physiotherapy</a>​, Breast Examination, Clinical Laboratory, General Physician Consultation, Dental Hygiene, Nutritionist, Integrated Medical Services and Home Health Care.  An information desk was setup at the fair to provide insight on the various services offered at AKUH such as subsidized clinics, locations, and appointment facilitation for all locations including main. </p>
