<p>A health camp was arranged at <a href="/pakistan/Hyderabad/Pages/default.aspx">The Aga Khan Maternal and Child Care Centre (AKMCCC), Hyderabad</a> on Labour Day, May 1, 2018. </p><p>This camp was arranged in collaboration with PharmEvo and The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi and was facilitated by 5 expert Orthopaedic doctors from AKUH, Karachi, Dr. Masood Umar, Dr. Shehryar Noordin, Dr. Yasir Mohib, Dr. Tashfeen Ahmed and Dr. Naveed Baloch. </p><p>More than 630 patients got consultation in this camp. The consultation for various orthopaedic problems like osteoporosis, knee and joint pains, bone deformities, foot and ankle disorders and such problems was provided. In addition to this, physiotherapy services were also offered to the patients who specifically needed this therapy. </p><p>Patients visited this camp not only from Hyderabad but also from other parts of Sindh. The huge volume at the camp proved that there was great need of such initiatives in Hyderabad. The patients were very satisfied with the kind of consultation and services they received at the camp. The patients were also facilitated with water bottles and juices to help them quench the heat.</p><p>Mr. Hans Kadzeirski, CEO of The Aga Khan Hospital, Mr. Mairaj Shah, Director of The Aga Khan secondary hospitals and Mr. Kashif Jassani, Administrator of The Aga Khan Maternal and Child Care Centre, Hyderabad, were also present at the camp and highly appreciated the efforts of the team.</p><p>At the closing of the camp, Dr. Masood Umar said that our purpose was to facilitate the patients with quality care services at reasonable charges. Because everyone deserves the best health care regardless of their class. It was our social responsibility to extend our services to the needy patients. We have started with one full time specialist consultant surgeon, Dr. Naveed Baloch, conducting the clinic at AKMCCC, Hyderabad on every last Sunday of the month. We will also launch the extended orthopaedic services in Hyderabad soon. ​</p>
