<p>The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is pleased to announce that the Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) licencing inspections of its off-campus hospitals in Karimabad and Garden, have been completed satisfactorily.</p><p>The Sindh Health Care Commission serves as a regulatory body for overseeing the provincial healthcare system. This includes all healthcare establishments, public or private hospitals, non-profit organizations, charitable hospitals, trust hospitals, semi-government, and autonomous healthcare organizations. The commission's role involves setting and enforcing healthcare standards in Sindh, licencing healthcare facilities and professionals, and ensuring that healthcare services meet the required quality benchmarks. </p><p>The meticulously detailed inspection took place from November 23 to 24, 2023, at the Aga Khan Hospital for Women, Garden, and from November 28 to 29, 2023, at the Aga Khan Hospital for Women, Karimabad. The final inspection reports from SHCC indicated that both hospitals satisfied their demanding standards and are eligible for regular licences.</p><p>Karimabad Hospital demonstrated an impressive compliance rate of 91%, while Garden Hospital scored 90.4% in accordance with SHCC's Minimal Service Delivery Standards.
