Palliative Care at AKUH is specialised medical care focused on improving the quality of life for patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Our goal is to alleviate suffering by managing medical symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, constipation, vomiting, etc. In addition, our multidisciplinary team offers emotional and psychological support, guiding families through difficult decisions.

- Palliative care physicians: Specialised in palliative medicine, providing medical expertise and symptom management for adults and children.
- Psycho-oncologist: A dedicated psycho-oncologist providing emotional and psychological support, along with bereavement support for families.
- Nurses: Offering compassionate care, pain management, and patient education.
- Other ancillary services: Depending on the patient's needs, we may involve dietitians, physiotherapists, and other specialists to ensure the most comprehensive care.
