Welcome to Women’s Health Care (Obstetrics and Gynaecology)
The Women’s Health Care Service Line at the Aga Khan University Hospital provides high quality, compassionate, research based care to women seeking guidance, counselling and treatment for their reproductive and gynaecological concerns.
Our team of internationally trained obstetricians (doctors trained to treat pregnant women and deliver babies), gynaecologists (doctors trained to treat women's diseases, especially those of the reproductive organs), specialized nurses and technicians are equipped to diagnose, treat and manage a broad range of diseases and conditions. Our comprehensive services include but are not limited to, pregnancy including high-risk patients, labour and delivery, menstrual disorders (irregular cycle, pain during periods, abnormal vaginal bleeding), pelvic pain, vaginal itching, vaginal discharge, breast pain and lumps.
Our services can be accessed through our consultation clinics, day care surgery or overnight admissions.
The Aga Khan University Hospital has multiple specialties all under one roof. This enables our team of obstetricians, gynaecologists and specialized nurses to work closely with doctors from other service lines in the hospital. The goal is to ensure that every treatment plan is customized to each woman’s health care needs towards achieving a safe labour and delivery (if pregnant) or otherwise overall better health at every stage of her life.
