Heart and Cancer Centre

A first of its kind in East Africa, the centre provides high-quality care and treatment in line with international standards, offering comprehensive services for a wide range of heart and cancer conditions. It enables patients across sub-Saharan Africa to access specialised, world-class care closer to home, reducing the need to travel abroad for treatment.

Located in the Jimmy Sayani Building, the centre is equipped with two cardiac catheterizations laboratories (Cath lab), five operating theatres and 23 intensive care beds, including a cardiothoracic intensive care unit. It also features dedicated coronary and neonatal intensive care units, as well as two TrueBeam radiation therapy units and a brachytherapy unit for the treatment of cancer.
