Clarification on closure of Roysambu Medical and Dialysis Centre

Our attention is drawn to a notice by the Ministry of Health on the closure of over 800 clinics, citing various unmet operating regulations.

We note that Aga Khan University Hospital Roysambu Medical and Dialysis Centre on Thika Road is among those cited in the list, and we therefore wish to make the following clarification.

Like all our medical centres, the Roysambu Medical and Dialysis Centre is duly registered by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB) in accordance with rule 4(3) of the Medical Practitioners and Dentists (Medical Institutions) and the Nairobi County Government. The medical centre is resourced by highly trained and experienced medical staff, who attend to patients.

The Hospital Management has since been in contact with KMPDB to correct the discrepancy that led to the erroneous placement of the said medical centre on the list.
