A gynaecologic cancer diagnosis raises urgent questions. At Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, you will not face them alone, and you will not face them with one doctor working in isolation.

Your care is planned by a multidisciplinary team that meets regularly to review each case: gynaecologic oncologists, radiation and medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, specialist chemotherapy nurses, palliative care physicians, counsellors and clinical nutritionists. Together they design a treatment plan built around your diagnosis, your circumstances and your goals, including fertility, where preserving it is possible.

Most cervical cancer is preventable. We offer cervical screening, HPV vaccination for eligible girls and women, and a weekly colposcopy clinic for women whose screening results require closer assessment, with treatment of pre-cancerous lesions available at the same visit where appropriate.

If you have a strong family history of breast, ovarian or bowel cancer, we can also assess your inherited risk and advise on genetic testing and risk-reducing options.
