Overview

The section of infectious disease strives to ensure excellent patient care and patient safety. We pride ourselves in the services we provide which include;

• A daily Infectious Disease clinic including a Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's), malaria and HIV clinic.

• A free antiretroviral therapy clinic (ART)

• Patient and family support services.

• Infectious diseases coverage for both the wards and intensive care units.

• A dedicated patient hotline, triaged by a qualified nurse, to assist with questions, queries and concerns.

• The section has a state-of-the-art microbiology laboratory with the capability to perform various specialised tests. 

• We contribute to the infection control program at the hospital and strongly believe and encourage best infection control practices to enhance patient care and safety.​​
  

• A fully-fledged travel medicine clinic for vaccination, counselling and prophylaxis.
