Neurology Clinic Services

Overview

This is a service designed to cater for neonates, children and adolescents with medical problems arising from the nervous system, some of which may be as a result of birth defects, genetic conditions, medical problems related to child delivery, as well as consequences of infections or trauma on the nervous system.

We have introduced an Epilepsy/Sleep in-patient monitoring unit to diagnose epilepsy and non-epileptic seizures, uncontrolled epilepsy requiring surgery, and sleep-related disorders for children.  Children can be admitted for between two and five days for tests to be conducted.

We also review children with intellectual disability or developmental delays to provide an understanding of possible causes as well as measures that can be taken to help the child achieve their best potential while reducing advancement of possible complications.  We run clinics on the following days;

Main Hospital

·       Tuesdays: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

·       Wednesdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Diagnostic services essential to child neurology practice including MRI, PET CT Scan, EEG and neurophysiology tests are also available on site.
