For over sixty years, Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi (AKUH,N) has been taking care of families in East Africa. As a private, not-for-profit hospital, we strive to provide access to quality healthcare to all who need it.

Quality
Our medical professionals are committed to providing patients with world class health care. The medical team consists of industry leaders specialising in different fields of medicine, enabling us to offer comprehensive medical services.
Our resident doctors, consultants and nurses possess internationally recognized credentials and AKUH actively supports their continuing education.
Access
AKUH is a private, not-for-profit institution committed to making high calibre healthcare and medical education accessible to all. Our main hospital campus is located in the Parklands area of Nairobi. In addition, we have 52 Medical and Diagnostic Centres throughout East Africa providing primary and specialised care as well as various diagnostic tests. Our Patient Welfare Programme also offers financial assistance to uninsured and low-income patients who would otherwise be unable to afford the medical care they require.
Impact
As a teaching hospital, we are committed to training the next generation of leading medical practitioners in East Africa. We offer the best in training for medical specialists, nurses and technicians in the region.
Our participatory approach to learning also requires that all students spend a percentage of class time working in the local community. In this way, AKUH nurtures health care leaders with strong connections to their communities and nuanced understandings of local issues, and directly contributes to raising the standards of health care provision throughout the East African region.
Relevance
