All Health Care Professionals must follow all institutional policies and procedures, including strict infection control practices:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water following the hand hygiene guidelines, immediately before and after examining or managing a patient.
  • Follow the guidelines on when to wear personal protective equipment, how to put it on, how to take it off and how to properly discard your PPE .
  • ​Use your elbow and body weight to push open doors, where possible.
  • Maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times.
  • Cough or sneeze in your sleeve.
  • Immediately discard used tissues in a dustbin with a lid.
  • Always wear and display your ID badge
  • Keep your distance from one another in the staff lounges and areas.
  • Walk apart from one another.
  • Be aware of where you place your hands and body
  • Do not shake hands with your colleagues.​​
