Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Services
The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Services at The Aga Khan University Hospital provides comprehensive rehabilitation services for adults and children recovering from injury, illness, or surgery, as well as those living with neurological, musculoskeletal, or functional impairments.
Physiotherapy services focus on restoring mobility, reducing pain, improving functional independence, and supporting patients in returning to daily activities and work. Care is delivered by trained physiotherapists working closely with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation specialists as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team.
Services are available to both inpatients and outpatients across the hospital network and are also delivered through Outreach Medical Centres and Home Health Services when required.
Rehabilitation programmes are tailored to each patient’s condition and goals, supporting recovery while addressing the broader physical, psychological, and social impact of illness or injury.
