Habib Peermohamed serves as the Director of the CEO’s Office at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH). In this pivotal role, he acts as a vital bridge between executive management, clinical leadership, and administrative departments. His primary responsibility is ensuring the seamless execution of the hospital's strategic initiatives, with a strict current focus on digital healthcare transformation.

Mr Peermohamed has built a substantial career within the Aga Khan Development Network, bringing deep institutional knowledge and technological expertise to his leadership roles. He worked at the Aga Khan University (AKU) until 2016 before transitioning to Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) in East Africa. During his tenure in East Africa, he was instrumental in successfully implementing the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system at the facilities in Dar es Salaam. This transition established his capacity for managing complex, large-scale healthcare technology rollouts in regional hospital settings.

At AKUH, Mr Peermohamed is currently dedicating his full operational capacity to spearheading the hospital's implementation of the EHR system, known as AKU OneHealth. While his position traditionally involves directing operational priorities across the institution's comprehensive healthcare network, his immediate mandate is exclusively focused on managing this single digital integration. By leading the EHR rollout, he ensures that AKUH’s vision for advanced patient care is continually realised.
