Book Appointment

Acne vulgaris, commonly known as acne, is a skin condition where hair follicles and sebaceous glands (which produce oil) become blocked or inflamed. It usually affects the face, chest, or back, especially during teenage years, but adults can get it too.

Acne can be caused due to hormonal changes, especially during puberty, periods, or due to PMOS (formerly PCOS), oily skin, using oily or greasy skin or hair products, picking or squeezing pimples, stress or poor diet (foods high in sugar or dairy).
