Atopic Dermatitis

Book Appointment

Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic skin condition that causes dryness, itchiness, and inflammation. It commonly affects the face, neck, hands, and the bends of the elbows and knees, although it can occur anywhere on the body.

Symptoms often fluctuate, with flare-ups followed by periods of improvement. Atopic dermatitis usually begins in childhood but can develop at any age and may persist into adulthood. It is commonly associated with other allergic conditions, such as asthma.

Eczema is not contagious, which means it cannot be transferred from one person to another.
