Dyslipidaemia
Book AppointmentDyslipidaemia
Dyslipidaemia is a condition in which the levels of fats (lipids) in your blood are abnormal. These fats include cholesterol and triglycerides.
Having unhealthy lipid levels can cause fatty deposits (plaque) to build up inside your arteries. Over time, this increases your risk of heart attack, stroke, peripheral artery disease (reduced blood flow to the legs), and other cardiovascular diseases.
Dyslipidaemia is common and often occurs alongside obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of heart disease.
