Rheumatoid Arthritis

Book Appointment

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a long-term (chronic) autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the lining of the joints. This causes inflammation, pain, swelling and stiffness, which can gradually damage the joints if left untreated.

Although RA most commonly affects the small joints of the hands, wrists, and feet, it can also affect other parts of the body, including the eyes, lungs, heart, and skin.

Early diagnosis and treatment are essential to control inflammation, prevent permanent joint damage and maintain quality of life.
