Aga K​​han Maternal and Child Care Centre Hyderabad

Established in 1989 and integrated with The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) in 2010, the Aga Khan Maternal and Child Care Centre (AKMCCC), Hyderabad is a 78-bed hospital providing care for women, children, and families across Hyderabad and surrounding areas. 

Care for Women, Children, and Families 

The Hospital offers inpatient services for women and children, including antenatal and postnatal care, labour and delivery, and management of gynaecological and paediatric conditions. An epidural anaesthesia option is also available for labour and delivery. It also provides two-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) services for newborns requiring specialised care.

Outpatient consulting clinics provide access to multiple specialties for men, women, and children of all ages. Specialist clinics are also supported by visiting consultants from the AKUH main campus in Karachi, expanding access to advanced care closer to home.

Facilities and Support Services 

Located on Jamshoro Road, the Hospital operates within a single campus with integrated inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and pharmacy services to support coordinated care. 

Video consultation services enable patients in Hyderabad to access AKUH specialists remotely, improving access while reducing the need for travel. 

The Hospital also offers laboratory and diagnostic services, separate inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, and ambulance support for patient transfers and emergencies. 

Urgent Care Services are available 24 hours a day for women and children requiring immediate medical attention.

The Aga Khan Maternal and Child Care Centre, Hyderabad is SafeCare Level 5 certified, reflecting adherence to established quality management standards. The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) has also awarded the Centre Regular Licensing.Patient safety, clinical quality, and respectful care remain central to service delivery. 

The Hospital is committed to improving access to healthcare. Services are offered at subsidised rates, with additional financial support available through zakat and patient welfare programmes for eligible patients.
