First in Pakistan, Nurse Certification in Medical Technology at AKUH

The nursing staff at the Aga Khan University Hospital celebrated the Medical Technology Month starting from the first week of October. This is a first of its kind program where the nurses were trained in operating medical equipment and  technology by the Bio-medical staff. All trained nurses were certified through an examination. This program was specially designed to equip our nurses with the ability to manage the latest technology so as to ensure utmost patient safety and quality service.

During the closing ceremony held on 9 November 2016, all nurses were presented certificates on successful completion of the course. They were acknowledged for their keen participation and achievement. Mr Hans Kedzierski, CEO of AKUH, in his address, stressed on the importance of medical technology and how it aids the nursing staff to provide quality service. He also talked about the fact that AKUH considers patient safety as its key to success and Medical Technology Month was one of the many  efforts that the Hospital is making to reinforce this. 

We congratulate the nurses who have now been certified by AKUH in the first ever Nursing Medical Technology Certification Program in Pakistan.​
