Heart Saver Month Closing Ceremony

This year, the American Heart Association (AHA) dedicated the month of March to create awareness about lifesaving CPR in non-medical people. The Aga Khan University Hospital is an International Training Centre (ITC) of AHA Department of Nursing Education Services participated in this campaign and scheduled different training program on “Hands-Only CPR” for non-medical people.
American Heart Association believes anyone can learn the simple steps to save a life, and everyone should. The training includes two simple steps in case you notice someone collapse suddenly:
1. Call your local emergency response number
2. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest
The training sessions was held at AKUH Main Campus, Clifton Medical Services, Secondary Hospitals Kharadar, Karimabad & Garden. Two other institutions Memon Medical Institute and Aga Khan Health Services, Pakistan, also joined hands with the AKUH Pakistan and organized these hands only CPR sessions for their staff and visitors at their campus.
The closing ceremony for the training was organized at the AKUH main campus to celebrate the success of this remarkable month. The event was attended by the CEO, the CNO of the AKUH, and leadership and staff of other university & hospital.
