The Section of Urology at The Aga Khan University Hospital provides comprehensive surgical and medical management of disorders involving the male and female urinary tract, as well as the male reproductive system.
The Section manages a wide spectrum of conditions, including urological malignancies, stone disease, voiding dysfunction and incontinence, benign prostatic conditions, reconstructive urology, and male infertility. Services are delivered across outpatient and inpatient settings, with structured perioperative care for both elective and emergency procedures.
Surgical expertise includes laparoscopic and minimally invasive urological procedures, endourology, and open surgical interventions where indicated. Care is planned within a multidisciplinary framework, with close collaboration across internal medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, oncology, radiology, and critical care services.
As part of a quaternary-care academic medical centre, the Section contributes to surgical training and clinical research while maintaining rigorous standards of safety and governance.
