The Section of Gastroenterology at The Aga Khan University Hospital provides comprehensive evaluation and management of disorders affecting the digestive system and liver. This includes conditions of the oesophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, pancreas, gallbladder, and hepatobiliary system.
Our specialists manage a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcer disease, chronic liver disease, pancreatic disorders, malabsorption syndromes, and functional gastrointestinal disorders. Complex and chronic conditions requiring coordinated care are managed within a multidisciplinary framework.
Diagnostic and therapeutic services are delivered using advanced endoscopic and imaging technologies, supported by pathology, radiology, and surgical teams within the hospital. This integrated approach enables comprehensive care under one roof, particularly for patients with comorbid or system-wide disease.
