The Section of Rheumatology at The Aga Khan University Hospital provides comprehensive care for autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders affecting the joints, muscles, bones, and connective tissues.
Our specialists diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of rheumatologic conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, gout, metabolic bone disease, and other complex autoimmune disorders. Both common and rare conditions are managed using evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to disease severity and progression.
Given the multisystem nature of many rheumatologic diseases, care is frequently coordinated with specialists in nephrology, dermatology, pulmonology, neurology, and other internal medicine subspecialties. This integrated approach ensures appropriate investigation, medical management, and long-term monitoring.
