The Section of Internal Medicine at The Aga Khan University Hospital provides comprehensive medical care for adults, particularly those with multiple or complex health conditions.
Internists are trained to evaluate and manage chronic diseases, acute medical issues, and coexisting conditions that require coordinated oversight. Many adult patients with comorbidities — such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and metabolic disorders — benefit from the broad clinical perspective of an internist to ensure integrated, long-term management.
The Section delivers care in both outpatient and inpatient settings and works closely with subspecialists across cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, infectious diseases, and other disciplines.
