The AKUH Bariatric Surgery Programme is dedicated to helping patients achieve long-term weight loss and improve their overall health.

Conditions We Treat

Our bariatric surgery programme is suitable for individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or higher, or those with a BMI of 35 or higher with obesity-related health problems such as:

  • Type 2 diabetes

  • Sleep apnea

  • Severe joint pain

  • High blood pressure

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
