How PD Works
A thin tube (catheter) is placed in your child's belly.
Sterile fluid (dialysis solution) flows through the catheter into the belly cavity.
Waste products and extra fluid pass from the blood into the dialysis solution.
The used solution is drained out, carrying away waste.
