Total Skin Electron Beam Therapy
Overview
Total Skin Electron Therapy (TSET) is a specialised radiation therapy used to treat Mycosis Fungoides (MF), a type of T-cell lymphoma (blood cancer) that manifests on the skin. TSET delivers a low-dose beam of electrons to the entire surface of the skin (except for the scalp) to destroy cancer cells. Since the electrons used in this therapy only penetrate the skin, it spares deeper organs from being exposed to radiation.
