Ophthalmology Procedures
Our Ophthalmology Services offer a range of specialised diagnostic and treatment procedures to help assess, monitor, and manage different eye conditions. From detailed imaging and vision testing to advanced laser treatments, these services support accurate diagnosis and help protect and maintain your eye health.
Corneal Topography: A painless imaging test that maps the surface and shape of your cornea, the clear front part of the eye. It helps in diagnosing and monitoring various corneal conditions.
Field of Vision (FOV): This test measures how much you can see around you while looking straight ahead. It can help detect changes in your peripheral or side vision.
Fundus Photography: A specialized imaging procedure that captures detailed photographs of the back of your eye, including the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels.
Other: Removal of a chalazion (small cyst) from the eye, field of vision (FOV) test, ultrasound A-scan, ultrasound B-scan, corneal topography, fundus photography, fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), YAG peripheral iridotomy, YAG posterior capsulectomy, trabeculoplasty.
Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA): This imaging test uses a special dye to examine the blood flow in the retina and identify changes or abnormalities in the blood vessels at the back of the eye.
Trabeculoplasty: A laser procedure used to help improve fluid drainage from the eye and reduce intraocular pressure, commonly as part of glaucoma management.
Ultrasound A Scan: An ultrasound test that measures the length and dimensions of the eye. It is commonly used to assist with planning certain eye procedures.
Ultrasound B Scan: A diagnostic ultrasound that provides detailed images of the structures inside and around the eye, especially when they cannot be clearly viewed through a regular examination.
YAG Peripheral Iridotomy: A laser procedure that creates a small opening in the iris to improve fluid flow within the eye and help prevent or manage certain types of glaucoma.
YAG Posterior Capsulectomy: A laser procedure used to treat clouding that may develop behind an artificial lens after cataract surgery, helping to restore clearer vision.
