Access to safe, high-quality healthcare is essential for individuals and communities to thrive. At The Aga Khan University Hospital, this commitment is reflected in our Patient Welfare Programme, which ensures that financial constraints do not prevent patients from receiving necessary care.
Guided by our principles of Quality, Access, Relevance, and Impact, we support patients in need without discrimination. Across multiple surveys conducted over the years, 100% of surveyed welfare recipients reported receiving the same standard of care as all other patients.
Since its inception, the Programme has supported patients across Pakistan, enabling access to hospital care, outpatient services, diagnostics, and laboratory testing. Assistance is available to individuals and families who may not be able to afford the full cost of care.
In 2025 alone, The Aga Khan University Hospital, Pakistan provided financial support worth PKR 8.68 billion to approximately 1.57 million patients.
