​Pharmacy Services at the Aga Khan University Hospital are one of the most innovative and comprehensive institutional pharmacies in Pakistan. Our pharmacies are trusted for delivering high quality and authentic medicines. We have a robust team of highly qualified pharmacists and technicians who are skilled and knowledgeable about the medicines we dispense. Our pharmacists are trained to offer counselling to our patients to ensure that they receive the maximum therapeutic effect from their medicines, avoid any reactions or harmful effects and clearly understand the side effects. Our pharmacy program is for patients visiting the hospital clinics and centres, as well as patients admitted into the hospital (inpatients). Our inpatient pharmacy service is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ​

Our Main Hospital Campus pharmacy is a state-of-the-art facility built with a sterile intravenous solution preparation area and separate cytotoxic drug preparation area. We are the first hospital in Pakistan to provide centralised and decentralised clinical services to our patients. This means that we have pharmacies located within the hospital floors and wards, which help to avoid medication errors and make our distribution process more efficient. In addition, we have initiated a number of different practices such as our computerised physician order entry system (CPOE), modified unit dose drug distribution system and therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) to ensure medications delivered to our patients in the hospital wards are safe, correct and are of the right dosage. ​​​​​​​
