Established in 1985, The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Main Campus, Karachi, is a tertiary and quaternary care academic medical centre and the principal teaching site for Aga Khan University’s health sciences programmes in Pakistan. Set within an 83-acre campus at Stadium Road, Karachi, the Hospital brings together patient care, education and research in an integrated academic environment.

The Main Campus provides comprehensive medical and surgical care across a wide range of specialties and levels of complexity. Its emergency, operating, critical care, inpatient, and outpatient services are supported by advanced diagnostic, laboratory, and pharmacy services, giving patients access to all services under one roof.

Care is delivered by multidisciplinary teams of experienced physicians, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals who work across specialties to address complex and interconnected health needs. Patients and families can access consulting and specialised clinics, as well as a range of inpatient and day-care services.

Quality and patient safety are central to care at AKUH. The Main Campus and Outreach Network have been accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI) since 2006.
