</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi has opened its new Specialty and Executive Clinic in Gigiri as part of its strategy to expand access to specialized care and bring services closer to their point of need,
</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The Gigiri Specialty and Executive Clinic is designed to serve residents and the working population in Gigiri, Nyari, Runda, Redhill Road, and the larger Limuru Road area. The clinic is part of the hospital&#39;s network of 54 outpatient medical centres, offering a wide range of services, from primary care to specialised care, in convenient locations.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The clinic will offer services across key disciplines including cardiology, endocrinology, paediatrics, dermatology, neurology, haematology-oncology, nephrology, pulmonology, counselling psychology, obstetrics and gynaecology, family medicine, dental, optical, and vaccination services, among others. It will also provide executive wellness services supported by diagnostic capabilities, including ultrasound and X-ray services.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">“Increasing access to specialised quality care is central to our strategy, and we will continue to invest in facilities and services that make it easier for patients to receive the care they need close to where they live and work,&quot; said Aga Khan University Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Rashid Khalani during the official opening.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">He reiterated that specialist clinics at outreach centres are staffed by the same consultants from the main hospital, ensuring patients receive the same high standard of care with greater convenience.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">“Even as we expand our outreach network, we remain committed to ensuring that the same quality of care available at our main hospital is delivered across all our centres,&quot; he added.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">While officiating the opening ceremony, Chief Guest Zainab Bangura, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), commended the hospital for its continued investment in expanding access to quality healthcare.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">“Positioning specialized care within this Gigiri environment shows that the hospital is responding to a practical and evolving need of ensuring that high quality medical services are within immediate reach. In doing so, the hospital reinforces the principle that access, timely and reliability are integral to effective healthcare delivery,&quot; said Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi, Zainab Bangura.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">“This achievement reflects clarity of purpose, sustained investment and strong commitment to delivering quality care,&quot; she added.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">In addition to its network of medical centres, the hospital offers homecare services across Nairobi and its environs as part of its strategy to decentralise care. These services include home delivery of medications and home-based laboratory sample collection, further enhancing convenience and access for patients.
