<div><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">As part of its tradition, the management and employees of
the Aga Khan University in Nairobi came together on Wednesday, December 4, 2019
to celebrate the year that has been, and recognize their colleagues who have
been in the institution for long and others who have registered exemplary
performance in the exercise of their duties.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The event was president over the University Hospital
management including Dr Shawn Bolouki, the Chief Executive Officer of the
Hospital and Dr Alex Awiti, Vice Provost of the University, among others in the
leadership of the interrelated institutions.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Speaking at the forum, Dr Shawn Bolouki thanked staff for
their invaluable contribution in serving patients and staff noting that the success
of the hospital wholly depends on their input.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">“I appreciate each of you for not only doing your jobs well,
but also going beyond the call of duty when called upon to do so. To all
retirees, we cannot thank you enough for your dedicated service. You carry with
you great memories that you shared with staff in this remarkable institution”,
Dr. Bolouki said.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Dr Awiti while congratulating the feted staff noted that it
was very rare to see an employee work for one organization for more than 35
years and the fact that we have number of them means the organization is one of
the best employers as confirmed in a Federation of Kenya Employers report
published this year.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">A total of 217 staff were feted in various categories; 121
for long service (from 10 years, 20 years, 25 years, 30 years and 35 years), 88
for exemplary service, and 8 who have retired.</span></p><p style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="color: #434343; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;helvetica&quot;,sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt;"></span> <span style="font-family: helvetica;"> <img src="/nairobi/PublishingImages/Staf%20awards%20retirees.jpg" alt="" style="margin: 5px;"/></span></p><p style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><em><strong>
