Paediatric haemato-oncology clinic
We diagnose and treat children with blood disorders and cancers. The hospital has two specialists who run daily cancer clinics based on appointments.
The clinic is based at the hospital Outpatient Cancer Clinic Unit which is fully equipped to provide ambulatory chemotherapy treatment services. Children with non-cancerous blood diseases like anaemia and bleeding disorders are seen on Fridays on appointment only.
Emergency cases are channelled through Paediatrics Accident and Emergency Department from where the specialist is informed accordingly.
Inpatients are managed in the Children’s Ward which has provisions for private and general ward beds as well as Paediatric High Dependency Unit support. Care may be escalated to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or main Intensive Care Unit depending on age.
