  • Splenic cysts and tumours: These can be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous).
  • Splenic rupture: A tear in the spleen, often caused by trauma or injury.
  • Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP): An autoimmune disorder that affects the spleen and causes low platelet count.
  • Hereditary spherocytosis: A genetic condition that affects the shape of red blood cells.
