Step 1:
If your physician has recommended hospital admission (inpatient care) or outpatient services, please share clear images of the following documents with our team:
- Doctor's prescription or admission form
- Insurance card (front and back)
- Patient's CNIC (front and back)
Send these via:
Subject Line: "Approval required for [Patient's Name], MR No: [Medical Record Number]"
Or:
- Submit the following to the AKUH Patient Business Service Department (PBSD) Desk (located at the Services Building, opposite Jenabai Hussainali Sharif (JHS) Building, Main Campus), or email us at pbsd.corporate@aku.edu:
- Patient's insurance form
- Copy of CNIC
- Valid treatment prescription
- The AKUH PBSD Desk will forward your documents to your insurance provider.
- This process is usually completed within 1–2 working days.
Step 2:
Once your documents are received, our team will promptly contact your insurer or employer for pre-authorisation. You do not need to visit our office in person.
Step 3:
As soon as we receive confirmation from your insurer or employer, you will be notified via WhatsApp or email.
