Our
clinical registered dieticians in Nutrition Services at the Aga Khan
University Hospital work closely with almost all the different service
line teams in the hospital, to educate, counsel and support patients who
need to change their eating habits in order to improve their health
condition. This service is offered to patients who are admitted as well
as those who are visiting doctors at the consulting clinics. Our
Dieticians use a comprehensive team approach to develop nutritious meal
plans for patients, tailored to their specific health condition and
designed to aid in their recovery. They provide education on how to make
healthy food choices and lifestyle changes for the management and or
prevention of long-term (chronic) diseases. Our approach is holistic and
involves not only the patients but also their families. The goal is to
guide the patient towards an optimum nutritional status and a healthier
lifestyle that will benefit the patient and their entire family.
