<p>DAWN All About Lifestyles, Pakistan's largest consumer goods exhibition, was held at the Karachi Expo Center from 2nd to 4th February2018.This exhibition was attended by thousands of people from all walks of life.</p><p>The Aga Khan University Hospital marked its presence by putting up its stalls, showcasing the hospital and its outreach services. The theme of the AKUH stalls was 'the healthcare service experience at AKUH'.</p><p>This theme was apparent in the offering at both the hospital and medical centre set ups. Each offered FREE mini consultations, holding 32 clinics over the course of three days of the expo. More than 1,000 patients were examined by over 30 specialists and family physicians. Patients were offered tickets for the clinic of their choice and received pre-assessment of weight and BP monitoring, before their mini consultation with the physicians. Medicines and tests were prescribed and a live appointment management service ensured that any appointments were made on the spot, for the convenience of the patient.</p><p>Alongside these, there was a laboratory team available as well which offered 15% discount coupons on all tests at AKUH Laboratories. Pharmacy and Home Health Services teams offered counseling and advice to all visitors. AKUH's welfare station dispensed information about financial support available for deserving patients at the Hospital and its outreach services.</p><p>In addition to clinical services, the AKUH stalls also had a mini-auditorium, where visitors could sit through Health Awareness Sessions by some of the most senior AKUH physicians and surgeons. 20 such sessions were organized, and over 200 people attended these talks. </p><p>At the end of the three packed days, more than 2,000 people had visited the AKUH stalls. Scores appreciated the efforts of the Hospital for reaching out into the community and making healthcare accessible for the general public. </p><p>
