This meant better discharge planning and preparedness, simultaneous functions and increased efficiencies.

Minimizing inefficiencies in the process also resulted in reduction in the discharge time by 2 hours per patient, thus improving the overall patient experience. A survey that was conducted post implementation revealed that 90% of the patients favored the changes in the discharge process. More importantly, this meant that the hospital is now able to minimize the time incoming patients have to wait for beds to become available, making timely world class quality care accessible to more patients.
