AKUH-NES Receives Recognition from the American Heart Association (AHA)

 
<p>​<span style="font-family: helvetica;">T</span><span style="font-family: helvetica;">he Aga </span><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Khan University Hospital’s Department of Nursing Education Services received the Silver Award as recognition for its exemplary cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training programs during the year 2015 – 2016, by the American Heart Association International (AHA).  </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"></span><span style="font-family: helvetica;">This notification was given to the AKUH-NES on November 16 2016 by Ms. Zehra’ Al-Hilali, Regional Director, Middle East and North Africa, American Heart Association International (AHA).  The objective of this awards program is to recognize International Training Centres (ITCs) that have exemplary CPR training programs and are dedicated to the American Heart Association in its mission to save lives. </span><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="font-family: helvetica; white-space: pre;"> </span><span style="font-family: helvetica;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"></span><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The AKUH has received this award for the third consecutive year, and is amongst one of the two ITCs from Pakistan who have won the Silver Award this year. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;">To present the awards, a ceremony was held at the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region Annual Forum in Dubai, on Wednesday, 14 December 2016, at the Auditorium of Mohamed Bin Rashid University at Dubai Healthcare City. Receiving the prestigious award on behalf of the AKUH-NES were Ms. Salima Rajwani (Training Centre Coordinator and AHA Regional Faculty) and Ms. Nasreen Alwani (AHA Training Centre Faculty). </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica;"></span><span style="font-family: helvetica;">The American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care Recognition Program has been created to celebrate the commitment to save lives and to recognize International Training Centres who deliver quality training with a significant or meaningful impact.</span></p><div>
