<div>Professor Waris Qidwai, the Chairman and Service Line Chief for Family Health at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, was awarded Honorary Lifetime Membership by World Organization of Family Doctors on Monday, 7 November 2016. Dr Waris has successfully lead Research Groups at an international level. The ceremony was held in Rio, Brazil.</div><div>

Based on his outstanding research efforts in the area of Family Medicine, he was reinstated for a second term, in 2013. Professor Waris Qidwai was the first individual from the developing nations to be elected for this position.</div>
