<p>In a powerful reaffirmation of their continuous commitment to patient safety and quality care, all four AKUH Off-Campus Hospitals (Garden, Karimabad, Kharadar, and Hyderabad)<strong> </strong>have once again been recertified with the prestigious SafeCare Level 5, a globally recognised benchmark for healthcare quality and patient safety.</p><p>The recertification followed a comprehensive evaluation conducted between 8 and 19 September 2025. A team of international SafeCare assessors utilised the latest SafeCare Standards v5.0 to audit the hospitals' compliance with stringent global protocols. </p><p>The assessment structure varied by site: Kharadar and Garden hosted one onsite assessor supported by an online assessor and virtual observers, while Karimabad and Hyderabad welcomed two onsite assessors alongside two virtual observers.</p><p>All four hospitals performed exceptionally well, meeting and surpassing expectations across 13 Service Elements, 190 Standards, and 760 measurable criteria. Their respective scores of 98 (Garden), 97 (Karimabad), 97 (Kharadar) and 96 (Hyderabad) exceeded the current national SafeCare programme average of 95.</p><p>The evaluators conducted a deep dive into every facet of hospital operations, including Governance and Management, Risk Management, and Medication Management. They also reviewed the quality of Inpatient, Outpatient, and Surgical Services. This 360-degree evaluation affirmed that these hospitals consistently outperform international requirements for healthcare delivery.</p><p>This SafeCare Level 5 recertification reflects AKUH's sustained commitment to world-class healthcare. It demonstrates a culture of continuous improvement, a focus on safe and compassionate service delivery, and a steadfast promise to meet, and exceed, internationally recognised healthcare standards for every patient, every day.
