Emergencies are unexpected and unpredictable.
The 24/7 Emergency Department at Clifton Medical Services is a 15-bed facility that accepts patients of all ages, with all types of emergencies. It operates on a Triage System, where each patient who comes to the Emergency Department is immediately assessed for their level of emergency, with P1 (priority 1) for limb- or life-threatening emergencies that require immediate intervention, to P5 (priority 5) for non-urgent medical needs. This system allows the staff and teams on the ground to identify and prioritise those patients who need immediate care, ensuring each patient is catered to in appropriate time.
Patients who need inpatient care are seamlessly transferred to the AKUH Main Campus after admission in our fully equipped ambulances. Additionally, this facility offers portable ventilators, providing critical respiratory support.
The Emergency Department is also supported by 24/7 radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy services.
