AKUH Trains Healthcare Providers Across Sindh

 
<p>The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) takes the Sindh Peoples Health Program managed by Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) a step further by providing Clinical Skills Enhancement Trainings. </p><p>Healthcare providers across the province will be trained by AKUH at the main campus in Karachi. The training programs will focus on helping healthcare providers become master trainers; who will then ensure quality healthcare practices and effective utilization of medical supplies in 200 public sector hospitals across Sindh as per internationally accredited healthcare standards. With the help of these trainings, they will also assess the learning needs of healthcare providers in each hospital and conduct trainings based on the needs determined. </p><p>The inauguration event for these trainings was organized at Center for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) at AKUH. The event was attended by Mr. Johannes (Hans) Th. Kedzierski, Chief Executive Officer, The Aga Khan University Hospital, Pakistan who emphasized on working collaboratively to improve healthcare management through quality training programs.</p><p>Director General Health, Dr. Mohammad Ikhlaque was the Chief Guest at the event and Executive Director of PEI, Mr. Shahid Yusaf and various Medical Superintendents from different districts of Sindh were also present.</p>
