AKUH and AKHS Join Forces With Medtronic to Revolutionise Healthcare

 
<p>In a significant stride towards advancing healthcare innovation and accessibility, the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) and the Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) have inked a historic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Medtronic, a global leader in medical technology, services, and solutions. The signing ceremony took place during the Arab Health Exhibition 2024 in Dubai, where leaders from the three entities convened to explore collaborative opportunities.</p><p>At the heart of this partnership are the patients, whose well-being is the ultimate priority. Representatives from AKDN health institutions, including the Health Network Purchase Committee (HNPC) and purchasing leads, gathered under the dynamic leadership of Co-Chairmen Dr Farhat Abbas, CEO of AKUH, Pakistan, and Alex Manu, CFO of AKHS, to explore opportunities that would reshape the healthcare landscape. Geoff Martha, the Chairman and CEO of Medtronic, alongside his company&#39;s senior leadership, engaged in discussions that delved into reshaping the landscape of healthcare through joint efforts.
</p><p>Medtronic, renowned for its prowess in developing cutting-edge medical devices and therapies, has collaborated with AKUH and AKHS to foster innovation in healthcare technologies and tackle global health challenges. The strategic alliance also seeks to make a profound social impact by enhancing healthcare access for underserved populations, ensuring that every patient receives the care they deserve.
